Poem 05
Atlas of Rain
Weather as cartography; the window as a thinking skin.
Every storm arrives with a map
no one asked to read.
The gutters argue. The river
revises its own borders.
I press my palm to the window
and feel the weather thinking.
Somewhere the rain is naming
streets I have not walked.
Tonight the world is all legend
and no scale. Still I trace
the wet continents forming
on the glass, and call it home.
